Nipuna – Skill Building

Bhumika, with support from Microsoft Philanthropies India, launched Nipuna Skill Training Centres in Baghlingampally and Saroornagar (Hyderabad) to enhance the employability of urban youth through technical and life skills training.

121 youth completed a three-month skill-based computer training program across four batches. Beyond technical skills, the centres served as vibrant spaces to:

Collectivize young people
Raise awareness on gender issues
Educate youth on rights, responsibilities, and citizenship
Nurture emerging young leaders in urban communities

On completing the course, participants were connected with job opportunities in sectors like retail, customer service, and finance. Over 15 organizations, including:

…offered employment to the trainees.

Many have since become primary earners for their families and are playing active leadership roles in their communities — contributing to long-term social change.
