Rehabilitation

Bhumika Women’s Collective has been extending relief and rehabilitation to the survivors of Acid Attacks and survivors with burn injuries. This was initiated in 2021 with a holistic care that combines psycho-social counseling, medical, food, material assistance, and livelihood opportunities.

Currently, 24 survivors receive counseling and essential support for food, medical care, and rehabilitation, while 9 have been equipped with sustainable livelihood tools such as sewing machines, embroidery machinery, and tofu vending carts. Survivors are also linked to Sakhi Centres and guided in accessing government schemes and compensation, enabling them to overcome their grief and agony, rebuild their lives, and reclaim their dignity and independence with confidence.
